About

The 18th National Digital Conference this year is taking a deep dive into the latest hot topic of Generative AI.

The conference has changed a great deal over its 18 year history sometimes being a large event for over 2,000 and at others being a small content rich affair for an invited audience.

This year we are running a boutique day for 200 outside of London for the very first time. We will be in Manchester for a one day conference on 20th June 2023.

Organisations in attendance include:

The National Digital Conferences are brought to you by Digital Leaders

The Digital Leaders programme is the independent forum where public, private and third-sector leaders explore new ideas and showcase the very best digital solutions.

We know that governments and businesses want to help each other use digital more effectively. We create environments where great conversations take place to make this happen.

We believe for the UK to succeed, it requires leaders with strong digital understanding and a digitally enabled workforce. This enables transformed public services and a stronger, better society.

our community

In our trusted space, individuals become part of a community navigating the challenges and opportunities of how digital can:

Strengthen leadership

Transform
public services

Create
a better society

Our events range from major summits, bringing together thought leaders with engaged decision makers, to smaller round tables where peers share their best ideas.

We also promote thought leadership through over 140 blogs a year, podcasts and on demand video talks.

We will challenge leaders to rethink how they’re doing things, learn how to innovate and lead change.

In 2022 we attracted 21,982 new subscribers, held 321 events, took 70,663 bookings , gave 46 awards, took 22,025 votes, and posted 140 blogs on digital transformation.

History of the National Digital Conference

Founded originally around the emerging Digital Inclusion Agenda in 2006, the National Digital Conference (ND) has always managed to cover each year’s hottest agendas and as a result has covered an incredibly wide range of topics over the last eighteen years. So it’s not surprising that this year we are looking at Generative AI.

Over the years leading thinkers in the sector have spoken to the Conference, including two Prime Minsters, many Government Ministers (30 so far), the UK’s first Digital Minister, the UK’s first Digital Champion, leading political advisors and academics, countless leaders of the organisations delivering the UK’s digital transformation, and the CEOs of many of the leading Digital businesses from Google to Microsoft.

The ND Conference has always been keen to ensure we are accessible to all including:

  • Making the Conference free to attend;

  • Being one of the first Conferences to regularly broadcast the day live and free to the internet;

  • The first UK Conference not about disability, to have live signing for the deaf from the stage;

  • One of the first to have live stenography for those watching online; and

  • One of the first to have a Conference App.

So now in its 18th year, ND2023 is part of Digital Leaders Week UK, a far wider week of events and talks about digital transformation that brings together all those leveraging technology for the economic and social benefit of the UK.
